Signs Are Everywhere

Mel Gibson gives a touching performance in M.Night Shyamalan's science-fiction action-packed drama Signs. He shows how a minister who loses his faith and an alien invasion relate. Shyamalan has found a genius way to mix emotion, thrill, suspense, and fright all in one exciting movie. Graham Hess(Gibson), a minister, has his faith put to the test while struggling to keep his family together and safe. Though Graham does not believe at first, his brother, Merrill(Jocquin Pheonix); his daughter Bo(Abagail Breslin); and his son, Morgan(Rori Culken) believe every step of way and get ready for the journey of their lives.

Many events in Signs will interest you and keep you thinking. Like how in one scene the aliens leave crop circles and sends total chaos. Exciting, right? Another one is when the family could hear the aliens communicating through the baby monitor. The scenes will make you say,"Cool!" or "Oh, I get it now!" all throughout the movie. Invisible spaceships, unbelievable family dinner, meaningful and emotional flashbacks. These scenes(and much more) will blow your mind!

Everything happens for a reason. Signs is all about purposes and coincidences. Morgan having asthma/asthma attack, Bo having her phobia with water and leaving water glasses everywhere, Merrill playing baseball. Other things like conversations and flashbacks help out, too. Merrill and Graham have a talk about miracles on the couch. Flashbacks of the moother's death helps a lot in the through certain situations and even save the family's lives at the end.

Camera angles, shots, and lightening were astoundingly impressive. He pans out the background. Dims the lights when it gets frightening. Highers the shot if you need to see it from a high point. Reflection is another thing that's beyond what you can believe. Graham looked under a door with a knife to see if he can see anything in the other room. You couldn't see the alien except in the family's television.

I definitely recommend Signs to anyone, especially if you enjoy suspenseful movies that pull you in until the end. I personally give it a five-star rating. Everything fits and makes sense. It has a purpose and it's coincidental. But don't take it from me. Go and see it yourself  and compare our opinions. Bring your family and you'll truly be touched. Now stop reading this and GO WATCH SIGNS!!!
